I have been challenged by
Pat Sloan who loves the color orange. I have joined the OP (orange pile) Challenge. Click on the logo on the right side bar. She is also hosting a virtual quilt retreat on Feb 20th through the 22nd. I haven't ever been to a quilt retreat although that is one of the things on my "bucket list". I have participated in a mystery quilt that was fun so I thought I'd join and see what fun I can have. Pat has started a
group on facebook for this and she is blogging on it as well.
The first pic you see is my give away for this challenge - 5 orange fat quarters. These will be unwashed since not everyone launders their fabrics before using. I always wash my fabrics.
The second pic is my Orange Pile. I had a lot more orange than I realized. Wonder what that says about me?
If you like orange or are willing to work outside your comfort zone why don't you come join us?

I never appreciated orange until I started quilting. I use all sorts of colors I never expected to have in my pallet. Sounds like a fun group.
When I started pulling my orange for this I was extremely surprised how much I had. I didn't include the oranges that tend more to the red or brownish side. Thanks for posting. You doing well?
Orange has always been my son's favorite color, so I do have a supply of orange. If I had the time right now I would join this challenge. Sounds like fun. I can't wait to see what you create. Janet
I hope to start deciding what accent colors to use. Plan to try and use only out of my stash. If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to go buy more. Just kidding babe (just in case he is actually reading my blog comments)
Jan, your oranges are lovely all together like that :o) Its always a surprise when you just concentrate on one colour. I'd love to join you on this one, I will be away on a retreat that weekend, I guess I'll just have to take my laptop with me (grin!)
Trudi a retreat sounds like so much fun. I would love to do that or take a quilting cruise. So far neither is in the budget for awhile. Enjoy!
Orange is something I have trouble creating with, so it's good to stretch myself!
